The book is the result of many years of searching and studies at the Olivetti Archives and other Italian Archives by the authors and it presents three important essays and a fourth contribute that is a photographic recognition, that deals with these social services and activities, with a specific analysis on the Workers’ Houses Counseling Service established by Olivetti Company since the end of the IIWW and managed by Tarpino architect and its collaborators until the beginning of the Seventies. The book reveals a very dynamic and fertile structure inside the company organism, related to specimen and programs that witness a variety of players and disciplines that have shaped a particular landscape in Ivrea and neighborhood.
