Hours

What are the opening hours of Triennale Milano?

We are open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10.30 am to 11.30 pm. We are closed on Mondays. Exhibition are open from 10.30 am to 8 pm (last entry at 7 pm). On-site ticket office is open from 10.30 am to 7 pm. We recommend buying tickets from our website: you skip the queue and online tickets are €2 cheaper.

What are the garden's opening hours?

The garden Giancarlo de Carlo is open to the public from April to October, Tuesday to Sunday from 10.30 am to 8 pm. In the garden you'll find the Cucina Triennale bar and restaurant.

What are the restaurants' opening hours?

The Cucina Triennale restaurant, located on the Park Floor, and Innocenti Evasioni / Terrazza Triennale, located on the rooftop, are open from Tuesday to Sunday for lunch, aperitif, and dinner. Cucina Triennale also has a bar open from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm that also serves breakfast.

What are the store's opening hours?

The store is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10.30 am to 8 pm.

What are the opening hours of Voce Triennale?

Voce Triennale, our new space dedicated to music and sound, is open for events and concerts.

Getting here

How do I access Triennale?

We are located in the center of Milan, in Parco Sempione, within the Palazzo dell’Arte. The main entrance is at Viale Alemagna 6 and is open from 10.30 am to 11.30 pm. A secondary entrance from Parco Sempione is open from 10.30 am to 8 pm.

Can I get there on foot?

Yes, Triennale is about a 10-minute walk (550 m) from M1-M2 Cadorna and M1 Conciliazione, and 5 minutes from the Arco della Pace.

Can I get there by bicycle?

Yes, there are racks in front of the Triennale entrance for personal bicycles. The nearest BikeMi station is number 33, on Viale Alemagna, just a few steps from the main entrance to our institution.

Can I get there by public transport?

Yes, you can reach Triennale by train, underground and bus. The nearest train station is Milano Cadorna; the underground is the Cadorna Triennale stop – lines 1 and 2; ATM Line 85's Triennale stop is only 50 m from the entrance.

Can I get there by taxi?

Yes, you can reach Triennale with Milano In Taxi service from the City of Milan, by calling 02 7777.

Can I get there by car?

Triennale is located within Area C, a restricted traffic area with paid entry for several types of vehicles.

Your visit

Can I enter without a ticket?

Entry to Triennale and the garden is free and open to everyone. Every week we offer free activities and meetings. You need a ticket to visit some of the current exhibitions, attend theater performances or concerts.

Can I bring bags or luggage into the exhibition spaces?

Large bags, oversized luggage and helmets—as well as sharp or potentially dangerous objects—are not allowed in the exhibition spaces. During opening hours, lockers are available on the Park Floor, where you can store bags and personal items free of charge. The largest lockers measure 34 × 45 × 67 cm (h) and are available in limited number. For larger luggage, visitors are invited to use nearby storage facilities. In piazzale Cadorna, Stow your bags is available at number 10 and Radical storage at 8/12.

Can I take photos and videos?

The works on display and exhibition spaces are subject to the rights of Triennale Milano and/or third parties. You may take photos and/or videos of the works and exhibition spaces for personal use only. Use of flash, stands, tripods and/or similar equipment is not allowed, nor is any advertising, promotional, editorial and/or commercial use of images and/or videos of the works on display and exhibition spaces. To use tripods and professional equipment, you must contact Triennale Milano’s Communication Office in advance to get accreditation by writing to press@triennale.org or calling T +39 02 72434247. For the media (print, online, radio, TV), you must arrange any video and photo service in advance with the Communication Office by providing information on the publication or blog, the type of coverage and the expected release timings. Triennale Milano is open to evaluating collaboration projects but reserves the right to take action against anyone who violates these provisions.

Are guided tours available?

Yes, we offer guided tours for the current exhibitions at a cost of €5 in addition to the ticket price. Check availability when booking online or ask at the ticket office or our mediators. You can also book a private guided tour—available in Italian, English and French for groups of up to 25 people—by emailing visiteguidate@triennale.org

Do you organise workshops for children?

Yes, we have a rich programme of family activities including guided tours and educational workshops. At Triennale you'll also find Officina: a creative space for ages 0 to 100, open to everyone to relax and play together.

Can I visit the exhibitions with my family?

Yes, we encourage families to visit our cultural institution. We are open to all and organize guided tours and experiences for all types of families, starting with the current exhibitions and events. If you are visiting with children, ask for a free Album Junior at the ticket office: an illustrated publication with activities, fun facts and insights about the exhibitions, designed to make the visit more enjoyable for the little ones.

Are audioguides available for the exhibitions?

Audioguides are not available for our exhibitions but for some displays we produce podcasts to listen to during, before, or after your visit.

Can I enter with pets?

Pets are not allowed in any area of Triennale, not even in the garden. Exceptions are made for assistance dogs in case of disability (with suitable documentation).

Food and drinks

Where can I have lunch?

There are two restaurants and a bar at Triennale. Cucina Triennale is located on the Park Floor, overlooking the greenery, with outdoor tables during warmer months. It has a restaurant serving lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Sunday, and a bar open all day from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm, offering sandwiches, salads and other lunch options. On the rooftop of the building is the Innocenti Evasioni / Terrazza Triennale restaurant, with a unique view of Milan's skyline and a menu by chef Tommaso Arrigoni. This rooftop restaurant is open for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

Where can I have dinner?

The two restaurants Cucina Triennale and Innocenti Evasioni / Terrazza Triennale are open for dinner from Tuesday to Sunday.

Where can I have breakfast or an aperitif?

The Cucina Triennale bar is open from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm and offers sweet and savoury options for every moment of the day, from breakfast to aperitif. The bar at Innocenti Evasioni / Terrazza Triennale serves signature drinks and meneghinas, both for aperitif and after dinner, with a view over the city. Open from 6.30 pm to 11.30 pm.

Is booking required?

Booking is strongly recommended, especially at weekends, if you wish to have lunch or dinner at Cucina Triennale or Innocenti Evasioni / Terrazza Triennale. The Cucina Triennale bar is open all day, no booking required.

How can I make a reservation?

You can make an online reservation on Triennale’s website, choosing your preferred day and time. You can also book or ask for information by calling +39 346 0968349 for Cucina Triennale and +39 334 6778784 for Innocenti Evasioni / Terrazza Triennale.

Can I organize a birthday party?

It is not possible to organise birthday parties in the spaces of Triennale Milano.

Are there concessions for people with disabilities?

People with disabilities (with an invalidity of 67% or more, or who are blind or deaf) are entitled to a reduced price for our exhibitions and events. Entry for an accompanying person is free (to be collected at the info point in Triennale).

Tickets, payment and refunds

How much is the entry ticket?

Entry to Triennale is free. A ticket is required to visit some of the current exhibitions. Performances and concerts are subject to charges. You can check all rates on our website.

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased on our website or at the on-site ticket office. Buying tickets in advance and from our website is recommended: you skip the queue and exhibition tickets online are €2 cheaper. The on-site ticket office is open from 10.30 am to 7 pm.

How long is my ticket valid for?

Each ticket issued is valid and can be used only on the day of purchase and cannot be used on other days.

Can I get a refund for my purchase?

No refunds are available for tickets for exhibitions or events, even in the event of a purchasing error. All sale conditions can be found at the following link.

Membership

How do I access my membership?

From the main menu on our website, select "Profile": you can create a new profile by entering your details or log in to an existing one, where you will find all your membership information.

When does my membership expire?

Your membership is valid for 365 days from the date of purchase or activation in case of a gift. You can access your profile at triennale.org at any time to check your membership's expiry date. Memberships saved in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet indicate the subscription's expiry date.

Which events are included with membership?

Membership gives you free access to summer concerts held in the garden and to theater performances, subject to the conditions of your subscription level. Some indoor concerts and DJ sets, as well as events in partnership with JAZZMI, are not free but can be purchased at a 50% discount with your membership.

Professionals

Is it possible to organise corporate events?

Yes, we offer spaces for companies, with the possibility to organize communication and promotional events. You can request the availability of a space via a form on our website and we will contact you with all the necessary information.
