In territorial violence a clearcut is among the most severe manmade disturbances. After such extermination, intricate life forms cooperate in chains of interrelations, attempting to rebirth the landscape. The first signs of renewal emerge over scars, where stones become islands of survival and rejuvenation. A bioengineering process operates in meta-temporalities beyond anthropocentric perspectives. Pioneer species are the artisans behind this ecological succession in the Polar altered landscapes. Liminal phantoms aim to sensorially perform the ecologies of aftermath. The Transborder Pavilion displays ongoing negotiation of boundaries, evoking biological processes, transcending geopolitics.
