A Brief Vacation
Until November 9 2025
Just as tuberculosis reshaped modernist architecture, today’s crises— pandemics, migration, and fatigue—are transforming cities for a regenerative future. How can social infrastructure support health, adapt to microclimates, and connect bodies with ecosystems? The Brief Vacation exhibition in the Polish Pavilion reimagines comfort as care and redistribution. Visitors recline, experience sound, scents, visuals and reflect on hygiene. Inspired by the movie of the same name by Vittorio De Sica and Milan’s Albergo diurno Venezia, Transsanatorium blends functionalism and spirituality, repurposing urban waste—heat, soil, greywater—into resources for renewal, pleasure, and health.
