What do people wonder when observing the Earth from the Moon: the first episode of the podcast From the Moon
The first episode of From the Moon, entitled Blue and Green Planet, examines the state of our environment, both natural and artificial. Can we still talk of an Anthropocene Era? What is the planet’s culture as seen from the Moon? What is culture beyond the pandemic?
In Blue and Green Planet, David Plaisant, host of the podcast From the Moon, converses with Stefano Boeri, architect and president of Triennale Milano, Ersilia Vaudo, astrophysicist, Chief Diversity Officer at ESA and curator of the 23rd International Exhibition, Paola Antonelli, Senior Curator of the Department of Architecture and Design at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and founder and Director of the Department of Research and Development of the same museum, the designers Formafantasma (Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin), Andrés Jaque, architect, writer and curator, and Legacy Russell, curator, writer, and artist.
“A curator’s responsibility is thinking about a way not to alienate audiences or the public from its own history.”
“People keep thinking that design is cute chairs, or it is fast cars or posters. No design is the kind of information that allows you to have a sense of what to do in the height of a pandemic.”
