HYPERLOCAL TALKS

Hyperlocal has been chronicling local communities and their cultural and artistic scenes for four years with respect to their relationships with specific neighborhoods and territories in Italian and international cities. On the occasion of Milan Arch Week, three talks are proposed.
The program 3 pm | "La Comunidad" in La Spezia Located in the Umberto I neighborhood of La Spezia, "La Comunidad" represents the largest Dominican community in Europe, known for its preferred music genre: dembow. Featuring Samuel "Heron" Costa and Francois Roderik Coudjoe Arauz, moderated by Tommaso Naccari.
4.30 pm | "From Via Torino to the Second Summer of Love: Fiorucci between Music and Beat" The historic Fiorucci Store in central Milan has served as a model of enterprise intertwined with contemporary arts and music. The brand subsequently made its mark in the subcultures of the Second Summer of Love. Featuring Maurizio Turchet and DJ Balli, moderated by Francesco Fusaro.
6 pm | "Italy's First World Music Club: Zimba in Milan" Milan's African diaspora has a rich history, explored through events and neighborhoods. One of the significant places in terms of musical connections between the African continent and Italy. A conversation with Alem Abay, Ariam Tekle, and Medhin Paolos.
