As part of the Milan Arch Week 2024 programming, we host Spanish architect Francisco Alonso, one of the most interesting voices of the Spanish school from the 1980s to the present, a professor at ETSAM in Madrid and UPSA in Salamanca. His research on material and construction has resulted in a wide variety of projects at different scales, well represented by Madrid's Zapateria, whose complex story raises questions not only about the project, but also about its cultural value and preservation.
