Described by the "New York Times" as a “social conscience, multimedia collaborator, system builder, rhapsodist, historical thinker and multicultural gateway”, composer & pianist Vijay Iyer is among the most extraordinary artists and music makers of his generation.
A composer and pianist active across multiple musical communities, Iyer has created a consistently innovative, emotionally resonant body of work over the last twenty-five years. Releasing 24 solo albums and collaborating with many other artists, he has carved out a unique path as an influential, prolific and changing presence in 21st century music. A lifelong New Yorker, he teaches at Harvard University in the Department of Music and the Department of African and African American Studies.
The concert is held in the Triennale Milano Teatro.
