Va' Sentiero A 8,000 km long gaze
March 15 – April 10 2023
The exhibition investigates the current state of Italian mountains through the shots of photographer Sara Furlanetto, a member of the expedition that between 2019 and 2021 covered the entire Sentiero Italia, a long red thread that connects the entire Italy, a kaleidoscope of Italian mountains. The photographic campaign documents the landscapes and faces of the Italian mountain ridge, from the Alps to the Apennines and the islands, posing as a tool to investigate the biodiversity of the mountains, threatened by the increasingly evident impact of man, the state of abandonment of some villages and at the same time the resilience of the inhabitants. A story about how walking leads to knowledge and interaction with the landscape, both natural and man-made.
