Triennale Milano. Uma História em Cartazes

October 22 – December 30 2022
Triennale Milano. Uma História em Cartazes is the exhibition in Salvador, Brazil, curated by Marco Sammicheli, Director of Triennale Milano’s Museo del Design Italiano, which tells the story of Triennale's twenty-three International Exhibitions through a selection of posters designed by international graphic designers and artists between 1923 and 2022. The posters on display are works signed by great designers including Massimo Vignelli, Bob Noorda, Roberto Sambonet, Italo Lupi, Mario Sironi, Albe Steiner, Max Huber, Eugenio Carmi, Anna Kulachek, and 2x4. Also on display are posters from some of Triennale Milano's recent exhibitions and projects, presenting the institution's visual identity, adopted in 2019 following a public process, and created by Zurich-based Norm studio. In the works of these protagonists of international graphic design, the poster takes on a symbolic value, representing not only an informative medium, but also an element capable of directly communicating visions and suggestions related to the themes and projects.
