Workshop
Time, sound, dramaturgy
February 29 2024, 3.00pm
How to tell the way we inhabit time? How to stage the different ways of relating to the past and the future that the present allows us to experience?
On the occasion of Tre sorelle by Muta Imago, we present a workshop with Claudia Sorace and Riccardo Fazi, respectively the director and dramaturg of the company. Starting from the sharing of the working materials from the last three productions of the company (Sonora Desert, Ashes, and Tre Sorelle), the participants will build a shared path of investigation and discovery that revolves around some fundamental questions that have underpinned their research in recent years.
Muta Imago is a theater company born in Rome in 2006. It is led by Claudia Sorace, director, and Riccardo Fazi, dramaturg and sound artist. The company explores various art forms, from theatre to performance, from music theatre to opera to installations, with the aim of investigating the relationship between human beings, their time, and their feelings in the best possible way. Muta Imago's shows are hosted and co-produced by the most important national and international festivals. In addition to the production of the shows, Muta Imago supports an intense educational, training, and research activity. In 2022, the company won the Premio Ubu for best sound project and best male actor for the show Ashes. In the three-year period 2020-2022, Muta Imago was the resident company of Oceano Indiano, a project by Teatro di Roma - Teatro Nazionale. In december 2023 inaugurated at the Centre Pompidou in Paris the installation Bar Luna designed together with director Alice Rohrwacher.
