Tiepido Cool All Over Milano
Davide D'Elia
April 5 2023, 6.30pm
The book Tiepido Cool (Viaindustriae publishing, 2022) collects the research of the past fifteen years of artist Davide D'Elia, in a story through images that follows the poetic criterion introduced by the title. The two words, tiepido, Italian, and cool, English, guide the succession of works in a path that privileges perceptual rather than chronological-biographical experience. Perceived by the artist as antithetical, London and Rome become the two ends of a discourse that converges at a point of balance, highlighting the duality on which his work hinges, which is also characterized by a double belonging, to art and communication.
The artist is in dialogue with Damiano Gullì, Curator for Contemporary Art and Public program of Triennale Milano; Kenzuke Koike, artist; Claude Marzotto Caotorta and Maia Sambonet of studio òbelo.
