What impact will artificial intelligence have on our future? Human-machine interaction will revolutionize the entire medical science, change learning methods in public education, as well as change the way we do communication and entertainment. But at what risk?
Chen Qiufan, one of China's most famous science fiction writers, reflects on the changes taking place in daily life and the functioning of society, reflecting on humanity's crucial role in the epochal shift we are experiencing. The author is in dialogue with Massimo Chiriatti, technologist, writer and lecturer.
Chen Qiufan (a.k.a. Stanley Chan) is an award-winning Chinese speculative fiction author, translator, creative producer, and curator. He is Vice president of Chinese Writers Association Science Fiction Committee, Research Scholar for MacMillan Center of Yale University (2023-2024), Berggruen Institute Fellow (2023), Culture Leader of World Economic Forum(2018/2019) and has a seat on the Xprize Foundation Science Fiction Advisory Council. His works include the debut novel Waste Tide, as well as AI2041: Ten Visions for Our Future, co-authored with Dr. Kai-Fu Lee.
