Meet the artist: Carolina Bianchi

On the occasion of the show Trilogia Cadela Força – Capítulo I. A noiva e o boa noite Cinderela, a conversation with Carolina Bianchi – a Brazilian theatre maker, writer, performer, and director of CARA DE CAVALO, collective from São Paulo – who will present her work and her artistic research.

Departing from a crisis perspective she launches confabulations about sexual violence and art history, her staging is a combination of different references from literature and painting, filled with musical mashups. In her work, theory and practice are inseparable, and the choice to work with different aspects of chorality is recurring.

With the project Trilogia Cadela Força (in English “Trilogy of the Bitch Strength”), formed by the chapters The Bride and the Good Night Cinderella, The rape scene, and The Brotherhood, Carolina Bianchi tries to find a language to reflect on sexual violence and femicide.
