Srebrenica, 30 years later Memory, justice, reconciliation

Thirty years after the massacre of Srebrenica, on the occasion of the 24th International Exhibition Inequalities, Caritas Ambrosiana and IPSIA organize a talk to question the meaning of memory today, the need for justice and the urgency of authentic paths of reconciliation. The initiative is part of a path of constant commitment of the two organizations in the Balkans, started in the 1990s and still active today along the Balkan route, through cooperation, development and human rights protection projects. The talk opens with a talk who offers a historical framework of the events in Srebrenica, followed by a reflection on the deep links between justice, peace and forgiveness. A direct witness of the genocide and activist shares her personal experience, interweaving memory, resilience and humanitarian commitment.
