Slalom

Francesca Pasini presents Slalom. Contemporary Art. Writings and Readings. 1990-2024, published by Mimesis Edizioni. The volume was born in late 2019, at a time immediately preceding the pandemic, and takes shape as an autobiographical and critical journey spanning more than thirty years of writing and thinking about contemporary art. Composed of texts published in various publications between 1990 and 2024, the book weaves together analyses, reflections, and readings of others' works, creating a landscape of voices and cross-references that invites the reader to move freely—just as in a slalom—between shared themes, eras, and experiences. The presentation of the volume develops as a moment of exchange, between the words of the author, the interventions of teachers, students and the audience. An opportunity to reread contemporary art history as a process in motion, open and shared.
