Antonello Salis & Simone Zanchini “Liberi”

October 2 2022, 12.00pm
Zanchini and Salis return, together, after many years of absence from national and European stages. The result? The perfect sound storm. You will hardly ever find two concerts by Zanchini and Salis the same. The constant search for joy and experimentation makes for a unique musical picture.
The concert is opened by the trio of Gabriella Di Capua, a young star of tomorrow's jazz.
Antonello Salis began playing the accordion at the age of seven, and later took up the piano studying as a self-taught musician. In the 1970s, he played in various rock groups playing the Hammond organ. Since 1978 he has been playing piano solo and accordion in Italy and abroad as a guest at major jazz festivals. His forty-year musical career is studded with excellent collaborations. Simone Zanchini is among the most interesting and innovative accordionists on the international scene. His research moves between the boundaries of contemporary music, acoustic and electronic, sound experimentation, extra-cult contaminations without forgetting tradition, resulting in a very personal approach to improvisation.
