Roberto Sambonet The Theory of Form

In celebration of the centenary of the birth of Roberto Sambonet, the exhibition delves into both his life and his work as a designer, graphic artist and artist tout court, exploring his creative approach and thought as seen in the objects, drawings, paintings and documents on display, most of them from the Archivio Roberto Sambonet. Critical moments in his development are examined, including the period at San Paulo’s Museo de Arte, his Portraits of the Insane, and his work for the La Rinascente department store, plus his career as an art director, his passion for the sea and his talent as a portrait artist.
