“Lifetime, la musica di Tony Williams”. Tony Williams was not only one of the most original and influential drummers in the history of jazz, but a fine composer and a visionary leader. It is to this multifaceted figure that Roberto Gatto thought to dedicate his new project.
“Another ‘exciting challenge: I am very happy to work on this project about one of my reference points, an innovator, but above all a great band leader and composer.Tony Williams represents as complete as there could have been in the jazz scene since the 1960s. I am honored to be able to pay homage to him together with a group of extraordinary musicians and friends: Alfonso Santimone, Umberto Fiorentino, Marcello Alulli and Pierpaolo Ranieri“
