Photobooks Now! APE – Art Paper Editions

We present the second appointment of the Photobooks Now! series of meetings, curated by Bruno Ceschel and in collaboration with the Store, run by the Electa publishing house, to explore the photography book scene through a series of lectures, events and signings with some of the most interesting independent publishers In Europe. The second event is held with Belgian independent publishing platform APE (Art Paper Editions).
The meeting is introduced by Lorenza Bravetta, curator for Photography, Cinema and New Media at Triennale Milano, and Bruno Ceschel, curator of the series of meetings. In dialogue with the curators are Jurgen Maelfeyt, founder of the publishing house, and Luca Massaro, an artist presenting his new book Dizionario Vol.1, on the relationship between words and public space. A book signing follows at the end of the meeting.

Founded in 2010 by Jurgen Maelfeyt of the design studio 6'56 in Ghent, Belgium, APE focuses on the book as an exhibition space and produces publications in close collaboration with artists, writers, institutions, galleries, and other key players in contemporary culture.
