One Ocean Week 2024 by One Ocean Foundation kicks off with an immersive meditative experience, Neptune’s Abyss, a screening of Blue Forest—a documentary film focused on OOF’s efforts in sea foresting of Neptune’s grass (Posidonia oceanica), followed by a mesmerising live solo cello performance with multidisciplinary artist Yu Lin Humm alongside a screening of her Islas Resonantes film. Neptune’s Abyss examines a regenerative blue revolution, bringing hope and large scale natural solutions that could help us address some of the major challenges today, catalyzing new tides of change. The immersive experience embodies an apneic approach to reality, making one pause, slow down and reflect. Yu Lin Humm’s soundscapes and visuals invite human imagination to the enchanted forest of the Seas, into a world of mystery, strangeness, beauty and awe—a new dimension, a new perspective—diving deep into the abyss of the unknown.
