Musica per un giorno is a unique durational performance. One appointment per year for a total cycle of 24 years. 24 continuous hours that offer the opportunity to experience, physically and mentally, a whole day as a unique space, both disorienting and familiar. Neither a concert nor a dance performance, the project becomes an opportunity for immersive exploration, in search of states, conditions, limits and perceptual opportunities. Extended time becomes the key ingredient for observing the boundary between activity and stillness, between sound and movement. Habitual modes of interaction give way to inner voice, observation, and breath.
Roberta Mosca is a classically trained dancer, performer and coach. She has worked in various companies in Italy and abroad, including Ballett Frankfurt and The Forsythe Company. She has recently collaborated with MAMAZA, mk, Laurent Chétouane, Canedicoda, Chris Newman, Effetto Larsen, Yannis Mandafounis, Fabrice Mazliah, Elena Giannotti, Martin Schick, and Bruce Myers. She is involved in training through research workshops and as a teacher. In 2015, she opened an independent space in Valle Cervo, a crossroads of local economy and cross-cultural creativity.
