Light in Matter

Hyletech, a revolutionary high-tech aluminum technology, gives form to Emanuel Gargano's Light in Matter compositions. The works are conceived as a union of matter and light, everyday objects transformed into geometric sculptures, with a design that tends toward the formal, and ascetic, rigor of modern movement. The compositions are produced with HYLEtech: aluminum panels that can be fully electrified and illuminated by a light source hidden in the profile. The series outlines a poetics of light, which disregards external lighting: the compositions become islands of light that attract and interpenetrate each other.
