In Japanese tradition, the drum (taiko) has a meaning far beyond its purely musical characteristics. Taiko Do (taiko way) is considered in Japan to be on the same level as a martial art. The practice involves an initial phase of physical preparation associated with the use of the beats and the posture to be held in performance. It is a practice that involves much choral listening and great concentration. The experience is open to everyone, and studio drums are provided and made available for practice. The workshop has no limits on age, ability or knowledge of techniques. With musicians Mirco Taddei, Chiara Parisi, Stefano Parisi.

Since 2004, KyoShinDo has been committed to raising awareness of Taiko in Italy through regular Taiko Do performances and classes. Fascinated by the culture as well as scholars of traditional Japanese arts, KyoShinDo members live and practice the study of Taiko at the KyoShinDo Taiko Dojo located in the heights of the Ligurian Apennines. Builders of the drums they play, they have attended several festivals including Mediterranean Music Festival in Genoa, Darbar at MAO in Turin, Ethnos in Naples, Estate Fiesolana in Florence, and events in Italy, Japan, France, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Malta.
