We present Inspirations and Generations, a cycle of five talks in which Michele Masneri moderates a series of talks between protagonists from the cultural, business and social worlds to reflect on how passion, talent and a sense of duty are transmitted between generations. The fifth and final meeting is entitled Hollywood on the Tiber: the dynasties that made Italian cinema great, featuring Enrico Vanzina and Federica De Paolis. The talk is an opportunity to reflect on the legacy of the great families of Italian cinema and the evolution of an imaginary that has marked the culture of the country.

Enrico Vanzina
Son of director Steno (pseudonym of Stefano Vanzina), he graduated in political science after earning his French Baccalauréat at the Lycée Chateaubriand. He made his debut in cinema as his father's assistant director, before embarking on a long career as a screenwriter: more than 120 films, signed for some of the most important Italian directors, from Dino Risi to Mario Monicelli. Together with his brother Carlo, he contributed to defining the Italian cinematic imagination from the 1980s onward, with works capable of recounting the country's customs, languages and contradictions through popular comedy. Among the most iconic titles: Sapore di mare (1983), Vacanze di Natale (1983), Yuppies (1986), Montecarlo Gran Casinò (1987), Febbre da cavallo - La mandrakata (2002), Un'estate ai Caraibi (2009).
