Human Rights Festival

May 2 – 5, 2019
The fourth edition of Human Rights Festival is hosted by Triennale Milano. The festival is born to raise awareness on the importance of human rights, the theme of this year is “War and Peace”. Different wars: currently, a fifth of the planet is at war, so talk about conflicts means to be interested to the gigantic suffering of millions of people. This means to examine the causes and do not close our eyes on consequences: tensions, imbalances, migrations. Therefore, wars concern us all. One peace: so that it is not just a parenthesis between the war of yesterday and the one of tomorrow, peace needs of non-violent languages, of beneficial practices and above all of equal rights for all. The program provides film and documentary screenings, photos, direct testimonies, debates with Italian and international intellectuals and experts and the exhibition Traces of Lights which tell about the life of Syrian refugees in Lebanon through the pictures by Lorenzo Tugnoli and Diego Ibarra Sánchez.
