Ginevra Nervi, established cinema and TV soundtrack composer, performs her latest album, The Disorder of Appearances, culmination of a series of singles and EPs featuring the blend of ambient and contemporary electronic music that has so far characterized her career. With IDM and post-club forays, the artist’s most recent work also includes the voice, which makes its way through hypnotic sounds and acoustic flashes. Long vocalizations and catchier phrasings give the tracks a melodic feel which softens the relentless synth repetitions and digital rhythms, while keeping words in a state of indecipherability and dreamlike suspension.
Ginevra Nervi, born in 1994, is an electronic music composer and producer. Her musical research is based on distorted and altered vocal exploration through a variety of sound manipulation techniques. These contemporary and totalizing sounds have allowed her to quickly establish herself in the field of music production for film and TV series, seeing three films she has worked on nominated at the 77th Venice Film Festival. Festivals such as Primavera Pro Sound have seen her perform as a representative of the Italian independent scene, and her live shows have graced the stages of Transart Festival, Triennale Milano and Locus.
