The Fall Giulia Mangione
Giovane Fotografia Italiana | Premio Luigi Ghirri
January 17 – February 18 2024
Free admission
Giulia Mangione is the winner of the Young Italian Photography | Premio Luigi Ghirri 2023. Her project The Fall is a photographic exploration of myths and beliefs tied to the theme of the Apocalypse and the end of the world. From La Palma on the Canary Islands, to the United States, and on to the Greek island of Patmos, where the Book of the Apocalypse was written, the artist looks at how societies prepare themselves for potentially catastrophic events, plus how belonging to a community can make people feel more secure and protected.
