Bermudas is an intriguing and hypnotic choreography, conceived for a varying number of performers (between three and thirteen), in interchangeable combinations. Inspired by chaos theory, the work plays with simple rules that generate a shared and permeable rhythmical world. In navigating the possibilities and tensions produced by the relationships between the performers, this creation by Michele Di Stefano aims to stage a dance that makes the performance space accessible to every new entrance. At the centre of this system of movement are the individual characteristics of each performer, whose singularities intersect and mediate. An intense energy field, a collective ritual that manages and absorbs diversions and misunderstandings.
mk is considered as one of the most lively choreographic research ensembles of the Italian scene, hosted by festivals, museums, galleries and foundations. Their most recent productions include: Veduta, a survey on urban landscape, Bermudas, based on perpetual motion and pure movement. The latest creation, Parete Nord, is an international collaboration coproduced by Torinodanza 2018.
