Che si faccia Baccano! Alfio Antico and Mai Mai Mai

An evening at Voce Triennale blending tradition and experimentation to present the new record label Baccano Dischi featuring a live performance by Alfio Antico and a dj set by Mai Mai Mai.

The cyclopean Alfio Antico, a shepherd in Lentini until the age of 18, builder of drums with sheepskins and farmers’ sieves, and discovered by Eugenio Bennato in Florence, recorded 5 albums with Musicanova and performed alongside Fabrizio De André, Lucio Dalla, Carmen Consoli, and Vinicio Capossela. He presents an original live performance where the ancient language of the drums is renewed, becoming a modern commentary: radiant yet still mysterious.

Following, a dj set by Mai Mai Mai unfolds his artistic research and sonic imagery, moving through ambient, field recordings, dub, analog electronics, and downtempo.
