AWDA Aiap Women in Design Award

November 10 2023, 6.00pm
The award ceremony concludes the 5th edition of AWDA, the biennial international award for visual communication designers that was born with the aim of researching languages, poetic and different approaches to graphic design but also to map the work conditions of women designers. In addition to discovering the shortlisted projects, we will listen to personalities and representatives of design associations from around the world, who took part in the international jury and research. An emblematic question will be the leading thread during the evening: "How many women are in the room?" an invitation to never lower our guard on the theme of female presence and representation.
For the first time, a special AWDA for Rights award! will be attributed to the project that best tackled the social issues of rights and gender inequalities in all areas. Honorable mentions will be awarded, one for each category of the award (students, researchers, professionals), plus the main AWDA award, as well as the Career and the In Memoriam Awards. During the ceremony there will be two special moments: one of testimony addressed to Iranian women on which we want to maintain our full focus and a final reflection with John Walters, director of "Eye magazine".
