Con assoluta autonomia Cini Boeri

Maria Cristina Mariani Dameno (1924-2020), affectionately called “Cini” throughout her life, was an architect and designer but also a partisan courier, a mother, a grandmother: an independent, curious and ironic, and sensitive woman. Through the materials of her private archive and the stories of the people who experienced Cini in her complexity, we rediscover the aspects of her figure and her thought, which found expression in her way of designing, on a large and small scale. The book Con assoluta autonomia. Cini Boeri by Cristina Moro is part of the Oilà series, edited by Chiara Alessi for Electa (2024) with graphic design by Leonardo Sonnoli, which presents a series of short “anti-heroic” biographies of women and professionals of the last century.

After the greetings by Stefano Boeri, President of Triennale Milano, Chiara Alessi, curator of the Oilà series, is in dialogue with Cristina Moro, author of the volume and curator of the Cini Boeri Archive.
