Abitare la Vacanza

Abitare la Vacanza a volume edited by Silvana Editoriale in 2023, showcases the work of the homonymous architecture festival that took place last spring in Colletta di Castelbianco (Savona), Baratti (Livorno), and Costa Paradiso (Sassari). These three captivating and unique locations share the presence of modern architecture designed and built for vacations: the village restored by Giancarlo De Carlo in Colletta di Castelbianco, the works of Vittorio Giorgini in Baratti (Piombino), and the architecture by Alberto Ponis in Costa Paradiso. The festival's objective, which won the public notice for the Festival Architecture II edition promoted by the Directorate General of Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, is to promote good practices for territorial management and to inform communities about the potential of high quality architecture and urban planning in combating climate change.
