The Beauty of Fragility

The proposal gives voice to a project that has been taking shape ever since Arte Sella and Casa del Pittore organized a symposium on “The Wings of Beauty” in August 2023. This project is dedicated to accessibility in the enjoyment of works of art, museums and other cultural institutions. By amplifying its echo, we can offer a special vision of accessibility in the work of architecture, involving significant places where moments of confrontation, reflection and action are brought to life. We are now proposing a second experiential event: The Beauty of Fragility will feature two remarkable Milan locations, both of which are full of potential and fragility for the contemporary age: they are namely the Shoah Memorial and the Triennale. By experimenting with the enabling power of architecture, these places can stimulate, through direct experience, the recognition and enhancement of synaesthetic sensitivity, thereby unleashing the power of fragility as an opportunity.
