A series of acoustic and electro-acoustic concerts curated by Nicola Ratti and conceived for the morning hours—when natural light is at its brightest—Matinée invites attentive, intimate listening. Each event offers sound experiences that differ in language and references, yet are united by a central element: the quality of listening. A mode of listening that interacts with space, time, and light, becoming a moment of suspension and perceptual openness.
In this session, Italian artist Marta De Pascalis presents her solo practice live, combining FM analog synthesis with a tape-loop system through which she shapes waveforms into dense, cathartic soundscapes. Her work stands out for its ability to intertwine timbral material and motion, creating immersive compositions that invite the listener to lose—and find—themselves within the sound. Her latest album, Sky Flesh, was released on Caterina Barbieri’s label Light Years.
