Cinema Night I see myself, others see me
February 12 2025, 7.00pm
Free admission upon registration
The fourth Cinema Night, part of the Public program accompanying the exhibition Il Nostro Tempo. CinéFondationCartier, features cartoonist and activist Fumettibrutti in a dialogue with director Yuri Ancarani on the theme of identity narrative, explored through the languages of the graphic novel and cinema. The talk introduces the new screening program I see myself, others see me: a cinematic journey that explores, through four different but complementary films, gender roles and the consistency of the self. A film cycle that questions the relationship between identity narratives and collective destinies within the social context, starting with the discourse evoked by Wang Bing in 15 Hours and the digital allegory of Jonathan Vinel's Martin Pleure, films featured in the exhibition.
Speakers include
Yuri Ancarani, filmmaker
Josephine Yole Signorelli (Fumettibrutti), cartoonist and activist
Moderates
