At Voce Triennale, we host the launch of Xong collection box, a set of 19 artist records on white vinyl. This publication marks the final form of Xong collection – artist records, a vinyl-only publishing project initiated by Xing in 2021 with original creations by artists linked to the worlds of live performativity. During the event, listening sessions and the presence of the artists. Each record tells a different story, also spanning a variety of musical genres. Xong defines itself as “Music-Non-Music” and, in this sense, leaves a wide margin of interpretation to the listener. The project thus comes to a close as a unique endeavor, a collection that traces a geography of transversal artists for whom sound becomes one of the platforms through which to expand their worlds and imaginaries.
With Kinkaleri, performance collective; Canedicoda, multidisciplinary artist; Margherita Morgantin, visual artist; Luca Trevisani, visual artist; Cesare Pietroiusti, visual artist; Jacopo Benassi, photographer and artist; Francesco Cavaliere, visual artist, writer, and musician; Daniela Cattivelli, sound artist and performer; Lemmo, sound researcher; Beatrice Goldoni, sound designer; Silvia Fanti and Daniele Gasparinetti, artistic directors of Xing.
Xing is a cultural organization based in Bologna, Italy, operating with the purpose of planning, supporting and promoting products and events characterized by an interdisciplinary approach toward the issues of contemporary culture.
