Stefano Pilia Solo live set
March 7 2026, 6.00pm
Free admission upon registration
Our new space Voce hosts Stefano Pilia, performing a solo reinterpretation of his most recent and acclaimed works, Spiralis Aurea and Lacinia, in an original adaptation for electric guitar and electronics. Through a language that merges interpretation, improvisation and electroacoustic practices developed over the course of his artistic research, Pilia places the poetics of these two works within a broader and more visionary formal dimension: a true acousmatic dramaturgy, suspended between logos and chaos.
Stefano Pilia is a guitarist, composer and producer who has always been interested in exploring the sculptural properties of sound and its relationship with space, time and memory
He has been a founding member and collaborator of seminal projects and bands, spanning improvisational, electro-acoustic, and avant-rock sensibilities, including 3/4HadBeenEliminated, In Zaire, Il sogno del marinaio, Massimo Volume, Afterhours, ZU, Adrian Utley, Mike Watt, Valerio Tricoli, Silvia Tarozzi, Anthony Pateras, Alessandra Novaga, Katia and Marielle Labeque, David Tibet, David Grubbs, Rokia Traorè, Oren Ambarchi, John Parish, Fire Orchestra!, Erik Kessel, Scanner, Gianluigi Toccafondo, WuMing, Phill Niblock, Z’ev.
