The landscape of the railway yards
Free admission (subject to availability)
Almost all close to major transformations, over the decades Milan's railway yards have been abandoned or underused, leaving space for dense spontaneous vegetation that has created specific ecosystems. What is really to be found in these spaces that we are used to seeing as empty? What can we learn from these spontaneous landscapes in view of future transformations? What do we want the landscape of the new slipways to look like?
During the event – moderated by Nina Bassoli (Triennale's curator for architecture, urban regeneration and the city) – Nicola Russi (of Laboratorio Permanente), Giovanni Piovene and Ambra Fabi (of Piovene Fabi), Maria Teresa D'Agostino and Antonio Perazzi will be speaking.
