At Voce Triennale we host a talk with Antonio Perazzi, Italian writer, botanist and landscape architect. As part of Equinozio, the meeting offers a reflection on what happens just below the surface of the grass, on the branches and along the rows of climbing plants in the days leading up to the arrival of spring. Starting with the story of the awakening of the plant communities that surround us, Perazzi invites us to ask ourselves: what happens down there? What drives them to emerge, and where? What does it really mean to blossom? A wish that extends to all of us, with the stars watching over this passage.
Antonio Perazzi is an Italian landscape architect and writer. When he is not designing gardens, he writes about them, combining design aesthetics, botanical science and literary skill to share his thirty years of research into the wild. He explores the relationship between plants and humans, both in large-scale public space projects and in bespoke private gardens. After training in Alaska, at the Politecnico di Milano and at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in London, he has designed public and private gardens all over the world. Among his most recent awards are the TSH Roma San Lorenzo and BIM Milano projects, winners of The Plan Real Estate Award 2025 in the Urban Regeneration category. His books include La natura selvatica del giardino. Elogio delle erbacce (Einaudi, 2024) and the forthcoming La repubblica autonoma di Piuca (Sellerio, 2026). He contributes to Il Sole 24 Ore's Domenicale supplement and writes a monthly column entitled Odor di verde on the last page of Gardenia magazine.
