Planeta Ukrain The Bridge Conference. From Kyiv to Everywhere Else

Triennale Milano announces that the third event as part of Planeta Ukrain – a project that includes a series of meetings, reflections and dialogues with Ukrainian and international artists, intellectuals and scientists in preparation for the Ukrainian Pavilion at the 23rd International Exhibition ‘Unknown Unknowns. An Introduction to Mysteries’, which will be held in Milan from 15 July to 11 December 2022 – will take place in Ukraine in the city of Kyiv. Confirming its commitment to cultural solidarity with the country, Triennale Milano will be presenting a symposium curated by Gianluigi Ricuperati in Kyiv. Organized in partnership with the State Agency of Ukraine for Arts and Art Education, the special event Planeta Ukrain - The Bridge Conference. From Kyiv to Everywhere Else will take place on Sunday 22 May, from 5:30 p.m. (CET), at The Naked Room gallery in central Kyiv.
A special delegation of European men and women involved in the world of culture and the arts is travelling to Kyiv to bring ideas and projects for the reconstruction of the war-torn cities and as a sign of solidarity with the Ukrainian people. The group, which will also be taking part in the Planeta Ukrain symposium during their time in Ukraine, will be headed by Gianluigi Ricuperati and comprised of Maria Isserlis, curator of the A:D cultural platform, Vanessa Branson, founder of the Marrakech Biennale, Alberto Zontone, associate director of Studio Urquiola, Stephen Navin, music producer, Anastasia Stovbyr, pianist, and Gabriele Abbruzzese, photographer.
Planeta Ukrain - The Bridge Conference. From Kyiv to Everywhere Else is the first international cultural event organized in Ukraine since the start of the war. Together with the foreign speakers, important representatives of the country's various artistic threads will take part in the meeting in the presence of the Ukrainian Minister of Culture and Information Policy, Oleksandr Tkachenko, and head of the State Agency of Ukraine for Arts and Art Education, Galyna Grygorenko.
The meeting, which will be introduced by Triennale Milano President Stefano Boeri and which has also been made possible thanks to the efforts of Francesca von Thyssen-Bornemisza on behalf of the organization Museums for Ukraine, will be streamed on Triennale Milano's Facebook and YouTube channels.
