Listening session

Ascolti d'autore Subsonica

March 17 2026, 7.00pm
Free admission upon registration
At Voce Triennale, a series of intimate and passionate listening sessions to analyze in depth record productions that have left their mark on the history of song. Curated and guided by music critic Andrea Laffranchi, the events combine two approaches to listening: rediscovering music by highlighting sounds, details, and nuances, and listening to the words of the protagonists as they open the doors to their imagination, recounting experiences, inspirations, and anecdotes.
Guests of this event are the Subsonica, an electronic rock band formed in Turin, who have recently returned to the music scene with the singles Radio Mogadiscio, a powerful symbol of openness and resistance through music, and Il Tempo in me. The event features an exclusive listening session of Terre Rare, the band’s eleventh album, dedicated to the idea of travel and to a sonic openness toward new real and imaginary geographies.
The Subsonica are an Italian electronic rock band formed in Turin in 1996 by Samuel, Max Casacci, Boosta, Ninja and Vicio (who replaced Pierfunk in 1999). Influenced by underground rhythms and experimental sonic languages, the band has developed a distinctive sound that blends electronic music, the incisive melodic tradition of Italian songwriting and a powerful live energy, a quality for which they are particularly appreciated. Throughout their career they have received numerous awards, including the Amnesty International Italia Award, the MTV Europe Music Award and the David di Donatello 2024 for Best Composer for the soundtrack of Adagio by Stefano Sollima. From their debut with Subsonica (1997) to Microchip emozionale (1999) and Amorematico (2002), up to Realtà Aumentata (2024), the band has released ten studio albums, as well as compilations and reissues, accompanied by Italian and European tours. In 2026 they celebrate thirty years of their career with CIELI SU TORINO 96–26, sold out at the OGR Torino, and the new album Terre Rare, set for release on 20 March.
