Reinventing Heritage: Adaptive Reuse as a Collective Practice
November 2 2025, 12.30pm
Free admission upon registration
Park presents a series of conversations on adaptive reuse as a practice capable of regenerating places and communities, reducing waste and inequality, and redefining how value is distributed within urban spaces. At the heart of the initiative is the presentation of Reinventing Heritage – A Design Compass on Adaptive Reuse, edited by Park to mark the studio’s 25th anniversary. More than a monograph, the book explores reuse as both a design and cultural tool, weaving together theoretical insights, case studies, and a “design compass” that makes methods and processes transferable. The editorial project sets the stage for a roundtable featuring Michele Rossi and Filippo Pagliani, founding partners of Park, alongside Pierre-Alain Croset, Susanne Carruth (3XN/GXN), and Dieter Leyssen (51N4E), who will discuss the value of existing heritage.
