PosSession

PosSessionis a project that examines the imprisonment of women and their rehabilitation through art during their incarceration. Triennale Milano and the San Vittore Casa Circondariale prison in Milan are putting on two exhibitions - at Triennale and at San Vittore - that narrate the female universe inside and outside the prison, involving the city in a journey of images, events and theatrical performances.

 The photographic exhibition at Triennale brings together shots by Cinzia Pedrizzetti who portrayed the inmates: on the one hand represented with their daily clothes, interpreting themselves, on the other with stage costumes, interpreting the characters of a theatrical piece. During their stay in the San Vittore, inmates took part in a theater workshop inspired by the diaries of Frida Kahlo, where some passages were rewritten and reinterpreted by the prisoners themselves. The theater workshop was organized by Cetec and by the director Donatella Massimilla.
