The volume Paolo Rosselli. Mondi in posa (Electa, 2025) was published on the occasion of the ongoing retrospective (until January 6, 2026) dedicated to Paolo Rosselli. Introduced to photography by Ugo Mulas at the age of twenty, Rosselli chose architecture as his preferred subject of observation: from Hindu temples immortalized in his numerous trips to India between 1979 and 1983, to his investigation of contemporary architecture, starting from its nineteenth-century roots. The book, which opens with an interview with the photographer by Francesco Zanot and Manuel Orazi, brings together over two hundred images dedicated to the three main subjects of his research: contemporary architecture, with a focus on the role of certain architects of the modernist era; the contemporary urban landscape; and interior photography. The title Mondi in posa (Worlds in Pose) sums up the photographer's position, which varies his point of observation on the scene that the contemporary city offers every day: photography accustoms us to perceiving the variations that manifest themselves in the exteriors or interiors of cities and translating them into images that begin to live on their own.
Speakers Stefano Boeri, President of Triennale Milano Camilla Baresani, writer and journalist Marco de Michelis, architect and professor Manuel Orazi, curator and professor Paolo Rosselli, photographer
