The stories of artists and activists, educators and designers who explore design practices rooted in the unique characteristics of the land they inhabit: they operate on a very local and specific scale, caring for others—be it the environment or their community. Invisible yet powerful, the people and projects involved perceive the vulnerabilities around them as opportunities for connection and collective dreaming. From Berceto to Maratea, from Syracuse to Genoa, passing through Somma Vesuviana and back to Milan, the event aims to be a space for dialogue—an opportunity to imagine how design can foster meaningful connections with those who, day by day, are engaged in migration and hospitality.
Speakers
Francesco Cavalli (Blu learning and breeding), Marialuisa Firpo (Nuova Libbaneria Mediterranea), Domenico Urraro (Tramandars), Moncada Rangel (Siracusa Pantalica), Francesca Moncada (Le Dimore del Quartetto) in dialogo con Beatrice Leanza (curatrice, autrice di The New Design Museum), Anna Anzani ed Emilia Bitossi (NAGA).
