SOLD OUT
Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at Cannes, Alice Rohrwacher's second film presents a rural utopia set in an absolute and timeless present. At its heart is a family of beekeepers living in the extra-historical landscape of the Umbrian countryside. The arrival of a distant civilization, embodied by the television crew led by Milly Catena (Monica Bellucci), sparks a clash between the opposing visions of parents and children. This remarkable film needs only a few elements—such as the dreamy gazes of the young girls or Ambra's T’appartengo on the soundtrack—to create a strikingly fairy-tale-like atmosphere.
The screening is part of the program Rural, which accompanies the exhibition Il Nostro Tempo, CinéFondationCartier.
