Pianist, composer, arranger, and conductor, but also organizer and creator of events of great importance for Italian culture (such as the launch of cabaret with the founding of Intra's Derby Club), Enrico Intra has been a leading figure in musical life for over half a century. Having established himself at a very young age in the 1950s, gaining a series of significant international awards in just a few years, he developed a poetic style aimed at bringing together the most exquisite jazz language and contemporary European classical music, becoming one of the first Italian musicians to develop a ‘European’ concept of jazz.
