Design, domestic spaces, and impossible worlds

Starting from their books, five women converse with journalist Laura Ragazzola and discuss their commitment to obtaining "a room of their own." These stories speak of women of today and yesterday, of their lives and their work; they speak of female identity and differences, of redemption and resilience. They reveal the importance of leaving a mark on the world with one's ideas and thoughts, to prevent—as Ida Farè wrote in a beautiful book on women designers (1991)—"the female presence from revealing itself only through difference, resistance, fragments..."

Michela Bassanelli, architect and professor, editor of the book " Gli spazi delle donne. Casa, lavoro, società" (Humanities) with Imma Forino; and Carola D'Ambros, architect and professor at the Polytechnic University of Milan and author of one of the book's essays;
Gisella Bassanini, architect, researcher, and essayist, author of the book "Charlotte Perriand" (marinonibooks) with Giovanna Canzi and Emi Ligabue;
Valeria Palumbo, journalist and women's historian, editor of the introduction to the book "Man's Rights; or How Would I Like It" by activist Annie Denton Cridge (Argolibri).
