Del Sarenge Romani Art Festival

Through the works of young Romani and Sinti artists, the first Romani art festival aims to share, to give to all—del sarenge in romanès—the cultural and artistic expressions that the two populations propose to themselves as an affirmation of an autonomous cultural identity and to all as a ground for encounter, knowledge and dialogue.

Program 6 – 7.30 pm A performance reading with Dijana Pavlovic, Paolo Cagna Ninchi, Toni Deragna, Albert Calderaru on violin, Gabriele Guarneri on keyboard to present the verse biography Gina Ranjicič. Una poetessa rom.

8 pm Screening of the video Baktalo Romano Dives—when Artistic Therapeutics meets Romani art. Teachers Isabella Maj and Silvia Mornati explain the shared actions designed for the two-year specialized course in Artistic Therapeutics at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.

Performance for children and adults The Gipsy Marionettist with Rasid Nikolic.

Screening of the documentary The Village of Roses by Hanna Heilborn, followed by a discussion with the presence of the director and protagonists Dijana Pavlovic and the family of Iaio Deragna, one of the protagonists of the documentary.
